A cool looking vase from the Ming Dynasty (I believe). We went to many museums while in China. And I mean 'many'!

 

 

The Summer Palace! Now that is an impressive place!

 

 

In the background is the famous marble boat that was built instead of buying modern warships in the 1890's.
Some people say that due to this mis-expenditure the Chinese lost the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-95.

 

 

Supposedly rubbing the head of a turtle brings you luck... I'll let you know how it turns out...

 

 

Yes, I am in a rickshaw... it was pulled by a guy on a bicycle though.

 

 

The Chinese have awesome gardens.

 

 

Some people in China like to keep crickets as pets (they enjoy the noise crickets make).
