Pictures From Italy!

The Roman Forum (or what's left of it!).

The Colosseum was full of stray cats (one of which I befriended).

The Pantheon! Simply amazing...

The rail station at Rome right before I left for Florence... Ahh Florence! (Called "Firenze" in Italian).

Small truck in Florence. Most cars were that size because of the narrow roads in the old Renaissance cities. It made you feel like a giant!

Piazza Della Repubblica in Florence. Once again, look at the detail on the buildings.

Piazza D. Signoria, Florence.

Piazzale degli Uffizi, just off of Piazza D. Signoria. What wonderful architecture!

Look at the bridge in the background, it is full of jewelry shops (Ponte Vecchio, Florence).

Dinning in Florence! Good company and good food, a great way to end the day.

Here is the Abby at Monte Casino (it was bombed out by the Allies during WWII. It is amazing how they rebuilt it).

The car we rented to go to Monte Casino. It was great fun driving up the winding mountain road.

The view from where I was standing in the last picture. The countryside around the town of Casino (where we ate lunch!).
Ciao!
